The reason a good knit gets worn to death is that it never asks anything of you. It goes over whatever you already have on and the result reads as a decision rather than an accident.
Over a shirt it reads as considered. On its own with jeans it still reads as considered. That is the whole point of a knit: it stops you thinking about what you are wearing, because it already works.
Nobody compliments a knit. They just treat you slightly differently when you are wearing a good one — and that is worth more than the compliment.
The things that decide how long it lasts
A knit is judged on two things: what the yarn does after a month, and whether the ribbing at the neck, cuffs and hem still holds its shape. Ribbing is knitted separately and set on, and it is the part that decides whether the garment looks cared for or tired.

Same garment, different job. The darker tones disappear under a coat and behave; the lighter ones carry the whole outfit on their own.

Where the money actually goes
Most of the cost in a knit is in the parts you stop noticing after a week: ribbing knitted separately and set on at the neck, the cuffs and the hem, and a knit dense enough to keep its shape. Those are what separate a sweater you keep from one you replace in a season.

How should it fit?
It should sit close at the shoulder and have room through the body, so there is space for a shirt underneath without it pulling. If you are between two sizes and want to layer, take the larger one.
How do I wash it?
Wash it cool and inside out, then dry it flat rather than on a hanger — that is what stops the shoulders stretching out.
Will it go out of shape?
Not if it is dried flat. The ribbing is what holds the neck, cuffs and hem, and it recovers as long as the garment is not left hanging wet.
Is it a good gift?
It is one of the easier things to give: the sizing is forgiving and there is a colour here for most people.
What if it is not right for me?
Send it back within 14 days of delivery, unworn and in its original packaging, and we will exchange it or refund you.
How long does delivery take?
